Congrates Simon, steve and Brendon great to see that the North brought home two out of three with only a few cars travelling south.Lets see how many south islanders travel to Wellington next year bet they wont even come if theres only ten (paybacks a b........)

A good nights racing and a pretty well run meeting I thought. It's a shame the annoncer didn't know his stuff though. Hickey built stockcars? Brendon Gooch from Greymouth..... whatever. Some massive hits going in which went on without repurcussion from refs. I thought steetstocks were tap and spin not full noise off the end of the straight. Bill Peat got a 7 day stand down for reversing into another car when he went to take off as car was stuck in that gear yet some of the other hits that were far more serious went unchecked. Piss poor reffing in my veiw. Bill was still smiling when I was talking to him though. Support racing was good, Frankie in a class of hiss own, last to first in heat 1, 2nd in heat 2, 1st in heat 3. Gooch did well in the run off, congatulations to all three placegetters for a great nights entertainment.

Congratulations to Simon, Steve and Brendon. And also to all the other competitors that gained a place in the finals. Glad to see the placings spread between the two islands and have made it a true NZ Championship. Is there a complete final placing sheet anywhere?

Sorry I never got race 3 up, got snowed under with competitor issues, then left all results at the track. Will have full results up later today and ELS on the website. I understand there were a number of stand downs given not just Bill Peat, so I wouldn't say hits that were more serious went unchecked?
