Pete Rees was just awesome, putting some big hits from behind on the bay cars and passing them with ease. The only car to sort of get to Rees was a gizzy car but that hit was out of no where and didnt have to much impact on him. The young palmy driver of 577p?? Tryed his best to block for Pete and did a job taking out a couple of cars
I hope Pete has better luck at the NZ he deserves to be 3x 1nz

What a ripper of a night and indeed 3rd heat.
The welly boys need to say a bit of a thanks to the HB guys, in particular Mike Mac 84b and Regan O'Brian 52b as Rees would have walked it without their regular intervention. 49b was another who also got in the way of Rees in the third heat. Mike Mac got in the way a number of times even when another Palmy car was there to run interference - no major hits but PeeWee just couldn't keep up with the momentum of the race with so much attention.
The deciding factor came on the second to last lap when Rees came upon Regan 52b exiting turn 1 and missed timed a hit which led to himself turning hard right and into the wall - right in front of the rampaging pack of leaders - this minor pile up allowed Gaskin to catch right up to Lloyd - then as they entered the last lap Lloyd went very wide all on his own and Gaskin raced through for the title.....
The second and third tier races were unreal - Beatle in his tank was particularly entertaining giving and receiving some monster hits.
In all an excellent night's entertainment despite the troublesome weather.

One of the best moments for me was when Mike Mac turned right directly infront of what he thought to be Peewee but was infact the other red car of 52v. Mike wasted his front right in this attack. I could almost see the shame through his helmet. ;D ;D

Mike was a bit dissapointed in himself that he couldnt get a hold of peewee properly each time but he did enough to stop him winning the title easy and it forced peewee to have a run off for 3rd,peewee was all class in the run off knew when to slow and where to position his car

Maybe it was Rees ploy to paint his car teh same colour as 52v, good thinking batman!
