Well done on the two nights of racing. I thought it was well organised even on the first night when the fence was broken thay worked quickly and efficiently to fix the fence then on the second night when the rain came they had the track all ready to go when the rain stopped. Big ups to everyone involved.
Also well done to the drivers that stood out. 88G showed big kahunas in nearly taking Rees out tonight in race to of the North Islands. Gaskin, Loyld,Friedrickson and Rees on pace all night and did well in traffic and seemed to keep going even when given attention. Leroy O'Riley well what can I say this guy has watermelons I tell you was hitting anything with out a B on it and smashed 1nz in to pit gate. Beatle Tarrant really turned it on. 45r Best move Ive ever seen took 3 hb cars in to the wall and put one right in the fence.
All round an awesome meeting

Great attempt, Rees drove on. Not quite Rusty, they were well past the pit gate and it was a spin, that 1NZ clutched and the photo shows what happened and who was smashed. Check MENTL1's highlights clip, right after 37b's rollover. Nice attempt though ;D Nick only took in two, 86b came along and helped out big time, nice chap that 86b fulla, get him a DB .

A big well done from us as well. Great entertainment made even better by a Wellington legend winning. But there is no doubt the Bay drivers won when it came to the bash and cash, turned it on big time and drew the mongrel out of other drivers. The only down side for us in the stands was the poor commentating, kept forgetting that his job is to talk not play inane music. We had a throughly enjoyable weekend thanks Meeanee.
(P.S. The superstocks there actually hit each other; Amazing)

They were good with the results. The music was alot better than the nuts they play on ZM which they usually play.

The English style of racing is very different to the Kiwi way - yes they do hit and they hit hard, but they aren't allowed to follow people in - or straight line as you call it here - so the way to move people is to hit them hard at the end of the straights to send them as wide as possible - hopefully hitting the fence, or in the Uk where they had rope and post fences - putting the car 'through' the ropes so it can't come back out.
Racing this style for 20+ years takes some changing, but I'm sure once Kev gets the car going as he wants it to - he will start to concentrate more on trying to adopt the kiwi style!
I really enjoyed watching the meeting last night, had a laugh when they got the cars out circling continiously for five minutes to dry the track out - I've NEVER seen that happen before - again another difference between the Brits and the Kiwis - the Brits would have just been sent out to race, rain or no rain, and if they went too heavy with the right foot they'd be doing donuts - and by the end of the race you couldn't tell which car was which they were all 'sludge coloured'! LOL The differences make it more interesting for us.
Well done Meeanee for hosting a great event, and well done to all the drivers - I for one certainly appreciate how much time and effort it takes you guys to prepare the cars each week to come and entertain the public (and get your adrenalin fix! ;D)

The difference being is that in kiwi land he will have people peeved of at having their butts whacked going into the corner and they will wait or come after him lol, well by rights they should but thee days only a few will. A few kiwi drivers drive like that too Joe Faram is one.

i to enjoyed the meeting!!!...but i to felt the commentary way below standard, .... i have never to subjected to that much music in any championship EVER ....while results were forthcoming where was the colour .the dramas , driver interviews it just didn't flow and got iritating as i knew what was missing ....which brings me back to the music ....its not a niteclub...or a radio station ..i want information !!!!....the commentator of the season in my opinion is Jamie mccartey who did such a great job with the sprinters ....all class and yes its all adds to the overall package. .but the positives for me were it least the pa was audible, security was good with car park patrols , and of course the racing!!!! ,, :)but that only my opinion, thoughts- something to improve on , thanks meeanee,

Enjoyed the racing and didn't mind the breaks with track repairs and rain. Plenty of action through all the grades giving plenty of entertainment.
Normally meetings of this level have more of a collectable program on sale and also have T-shirts also on sale but on my early visit to the souvineer shop found that there was none on offer, sad.
Also had trouble finding the track with the lack of adequate signage and I wasn't the only one to get lost. Cheers to the local who steered me right.
All in all a great weekend.
