Yes thoughts are with Roydon, as it was a damm hard hit both Roydon and Steve Hampton had last night, so thoughts with both of them... Shame that the Red light wasn't put on quicker as Steve was in Ni Ni land a fear few Min's before officials seen, I was sitting up the end where Steve was and seen his head was slumped over the wheel... On a high it was a great night watching all the racing, well done everyone

Roydon was pretty lucky thought he might have had more injuries after two such big impacts, hopefully he has a speedy recovery. Just to note not only was Roydon lucky but everyone else on the infield he was traveling at a fair pace when his car cut through infield was one hell of an impact and hit pretty square on with the wall, totaly pushed front half of car back. does anyone know what happened, stuck throttle? Knocked out with foot on throttle after Hampton hit?
Once again everyone very lucky could have eneded up with someone on infield in a bad way.

To Roydon I hope that you get better than ever and we see you back on the track asap. It just go's to show that superstocks are going far to fast and need something done to make the sport abit more safer.

This thread is about the health of a competitor, not other issues.
Keep it that way.

Knocked out with foot on throttle after Hampton hit? Once again everyone very lucky could have eneded up with someone on infield in a bad way. It was a very scary moment let me tell you, and I just thank goodness I happened to glance in that direction as he accelerated and veered left across the infield. I had enough time to move to my right and out of his path, but had I of been facing the back straight at the time it could have been a very different story. As somebody who first met Roydon 20 years ago, and somebody who has interviewed him several times over the past couple of weekends, including 3 times at Rotorua before the big crash, I've found him one of the most personable, friendly and helpful people out there. Always a good talk. I didn't slepp last night thinking about the accident, not how lucky I was to have time to move, but the sickening sight and sound of that car hitting the concrete head on. A big plus was being able to have a very brief conversation with him in the car (off mic) before he was towed back to the pits. His eyes being open was a joy to see, despite his obvious discomfort. Please pass on my regards to Roydon, and obviously Steve Hampton as well (I believe he was sent home later on last night), and hope to see them both at a race track again soon, if only spectating. Barry Brown PS; As Percy said, this thread is about 2 injured drivers. Please respect that and save your arguments for another time and place.

Was a very heaving meeting with the wall. I only saw the initial clash with hampton and collingwood hitting the wall nearly square on.
