I was just talking to a guy Graeme Drabble who said he brought the Rummney-Hobbs-Boote-Whittaker car from Palmy and raced it as 81M before on selling it to Wellington.
Anyone confirm this?

Yeah he said it had a std 6 in it and he put his putt-putt CSL engine in.
Pallmall, is there a collage for the Rumney 1nz car? What about the 1st 88R of Rexs, does this car still exist?

Another Q, is Darcy's motor the one that Chris Allen owned? He started with it, then went to Shane Penn, then onto Darcy???

One of the Gordge cars that is missing history and photographs is the 1R Stanaway car. Apparently went to Craig 'Red' Jones then to ? Here it is in 2008 as 64V at the NZ Superstock Champs, confirmed as the ex 1R car by Neville Stanaway. Can anybody help?

164V was Cameron Sturzaker - he raced last season on a very tight budget. I'm not sure if the car is sold or parked, but I heard during the off-season that he wouldn't be racing this year.

Thanks to Gregobro and Wal86 I now have a couple of photos of the 196N Gordge.

Gavin,
Hopefully I haven't got my wires crossed here but I think you will find the car after the Waka was not a Gordge, it was a Kelly Chassis. It was built in Steve Hamptons workshop while Ian Kelly leased space there.
This ran as 196N after Keith moved it back to Nelson.

Keith got it from Wayne after the 01/2002 season and I don't think much happened to it for a while. It was leased/borrowed by Neal McCoard for Murray Harrison to drive at the 2004 NZ's (because the McGordge was not finished) where it had the Dayne Wright Allstars body and bonnet fitted, the chassis was still red and looked like it was little changed. The same car as 196N was raced in 2005 at least at the World 240s by Keith. By 05/2006 it was 48N Brett Nichols. Now the previous car that I thought was an NRP may have been a Kelly, or did Keith get another car to replace the Waka? He hasn't done much racing since a pretty big 01/2002 season really. This is the Harrison car at Nelson 2004, apart from the body and the right hand step plate it is unchanged from 59W. (photo from Wal86 collection)

I'll have a stab to help with order and clarification. Keiths cars in order... 1:NRP ex Redfern
2:Ex Waka 1 - now 48n Brett Nicholls
3: Kelly built deal now in the hands of Brian and Tom Stanaway.
4: Ex Darren Gray Mac built ex 66c.Still in his yard with just a cage on it.
The first two had big input from Craig and Shane Bradley as far as rebuild and on going maintenance went.
Hope that helps a little.

Hey Pallmall
RE; the Neville Stanaway Gordge above did this car go to Ian Elsworth with Ford 6 power or was that a previous car ?
Cheers.

Heres a bit of news for you all, most of you i thought would of known this: The first car that Keith bought off Scott Redfern was not an NRP chassis!, when Scott bought the NRP car off Vic he bent it quite badly so had another chassis built by Dean Crosland in Hamilton and had all the running gear transfered into it, this is the car that Keith had at Bayparks grand opening.
