just to let people know that Dorothy Smith which is Kenny Smiths mum passed away yesterday or today.
For those people who dont know who Kenny Smith is he is a formula toyota driver who has been racing different classes for years in circuit racing winning many championships.
Condolences to Kenny and family for your loss.

What an amazing woman! Apparently, Dorothy went to the racetrack with Kenny for 50 years, but has never actually watched a race!! Just being there, supporting her son was enough for her. The motorsport community has lost yet another unique personality.
And it was a true measure of Kenny Smith that he went out and raced yesterday. He is a Kiwi motorsport legend in his own right.

Kenny in the 54th NZ Grand Prix the day after Dorothy died as she would NOT have wanted him to miss a Grand Prix race. He finished down the field, but set the 2nd fasted lap of the race in lap 33 of 35. Not bad energy for a 60 something year old. Go Kenny, R.I.P Dorothy.

Dorothy,her handbag and her ever present seat in Kennys pit will be a sight sorely missed by many through out the country.
