Robsonthejob sent me through some photos from Dutchy to post on here of his new project. Was going to post it in the old 24H/A/M thread, but I can't find it at the moment. Dutchy writes: I have managed to obtain my second stockcar built in 1981 back from Trevor Peters in July 2008, which he found parked up in a paddock at Whitianga beating the scrapman by days, thank goodness. I have roamed around the countryside over the last six months collecting various car models/parts I originally used. I have parked up the boat now and started to restore the car back to its former "glory". The car ran an A30 body, Shelby Cobra 221ci V8. I am trying to track down and record all the previous car owners. I know at this stage it went to the 'milkman' Kelvin Lalich and then to Rex Neild "Top Cat". After that I hope you can all help fill in the gaps. Cheers DUTCHY.

At the moment I cannot even find any photos of the car when it was new, but some are sure to surface. Here it is when Rex was running it at Bay Park.

That is soooo cool. I reckon the older stockcars were way better looking than the Fibreglass sheep we have now. Love that bodyshell.

What have you planned for your new car - hopefully not a ford y? Great work Dutchy, and would be great to see some more photos come through as the build progresses. Is that car of free balls behind the same one Porry has restored and sold? If so they will go great racing together, through in Bruce Robertson with the old tank and shes all go

click here dutchy macgor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=communicate&action=display&thread=3920Macgor has put together a good step by step process. I found the easiest way was to open two internet windows, with tinypic on one and macgors on the other. the key point is to have your photo saved somewhere on your computer you can find easy. look foward to seeing the pics when you get time. cheers

The pic above was taken at Waikaraka Park and was a result of Barry Hunter sending Dutchy up the wall.
