I just got back from the very big swap meet in Feilding. There was everything there from old rust buckets, complete stockcars on the trailer, plus hundreds of very cool hot rods. Hundreds. The only thing not there was the battery for my camera. I took a couple of pics with my cellphone. I saw a poster there that said there was a hot rod day in the dirt at Harrisville on the 1st of November, should be a good photo opportunity.Go SlidewaysOne of many old-school rat-type rods Form is temporary - class is permanent Ditto - mean paint Gnarly flames Mint Camaro The only thing not chromed on this bike was the tires My cellphone doesn't do justice to this paint Hope it's warm where ever you are - it's bloody freezing in Palmy

The green Model A with white flames is a 30, not a 29. Belongs to well known sign writer in Palmy, heavily involved in speedway, his 2 boys run mini stocks there. Painted it and flamed it himself, flamed lots of cars, including the Impala pictured above (hence the nickname "Flamez" (also the personalised plate on the Model A)
