Look up SJS mechanical in chch they do certified hooks,about $80 each and you can put them on yourself. Ask for steve

Does this only apply to trucks or do buses/campers come under the same rules

buses and campers are exempt. yes it is just about trucks only.

What rates are folk getting? Found an old ticket from 2 Feb 07. 4 Wheel drive, 7m trailer, one adult, $560 incl gst return. Doing it on the web I just got $768 return (2.30am sailing).

I found it was best to ring as on the transrail ones they have motorsport discount price to take a 9 meter truck with two passengers was 560 one way i dont know if thats a good price but was two hundred cheaper than bluebridge and they charged a fuel surcharge as well

i paid $566 for 1 passenger and a 6 metre 5 tonne truck one way on the interislander. blubridge was $620.
