Hi everyone I can remember a while back there being some issues with the rear rollcage hoop sticking outside the body? Can someone tell me what the outcome was on that and weather that is still aloud or not?
cheers farmboy

I can't quote line and verse, but the gist of it is all parts of the rollcage must be inside the body. That resulted in some cars having strange bumps in their bodywork or having wider bodys to cover the hoops. Hasn't really been an issue for a couple of seasons but best avoid confrontations with some officials that take their roll a little too seriously. One issue I remember is that the good book states that the rollcage must follow the body profile, that got me in some trouble when I put my long body on the shorter Gordge chassis You can just see what I mean here. How is that related to safety?

It may not be in there now, it was in 2004 when I bought the Gordge, I guess they are trying to sort out the rules. It wasn't in the stockcar section, it was in the generic section under vehicle checkers notes or something like that. The saloons and I think modifieds have it written into their rules, and I beleive it was in the stockcar rules as well. Its just that some scruteneers memorised the book in 1972 and havn't read it since.

I thought the issue with the tank rollcages was something to do with there attachment to the chassis and the hip plates ? I do remember a few seasons back scott had an issue with the hoop and rear cross in his rollcage
