Hi Ya
This is my first every post. I am an avid speedway follower and looking at pre-purchasing tickets for the 2010 NZ Superstock Championship at Kihikihi. In the latest NZDTR magazine it tells you the following prices - General Admission Pre-Pay Ticket for both nights is $50 and the Grandstand Pre-Pay Ticket for both nights is $70. Now I see in the article as well that it says the Main Grandstand will be along the back straight, this is the area I generally sit when I am at kihikihi. I am just wondering if someone could help me by telling me will there be general admission on the back straight or will I have to get a Grandstand ticket. Also where is the main grandstand going to be put on the back straight, is it going to be where cars can park at present or down below the car parking. I look forward to hear from anyone that might be able to help. Also the price for the walk up crowd for general admission is $30 each night.
Cheers Duane

I haven't seen the final site plan but the main grandstand is to be erected at the top of the embankment on the main straight (where cars occasionally park up the top).
I think you will find the general admission ticket will allow you to sit on the embankment on the main straight if you wish, but for an additional $10 per night you can have the luxury of a bucket type seat, knowing that when you take a walk to look at the cars, get something to eat, or use the conveniences, that you will have a seat to return to. The beauty is, this is an option, not an enforcement.
I am confident that the entertainment spectacle will be worthy of the admission cost. Alot of extras will be in place for this event, to make it that little bit special.
Feel free to voice any feedback though, good to hear interest is building already for this event.

Thank you for that Rick. I am just wondering when the tickets go on sale will the ticket direct outlets have a seating plan or not as I looking at getting a grandstand ticket but with a decent view

Does anyone know if the seating will be allocated or can you sit anywhere in the grandstand.

Does anyone know if the seating will be allocated or can you sit anywhere in the grandstand. I would assume allocated, but will have to check that out, to be sure, and get back to you. UPDATE; Have had the answer back from the club already - number allocated seats, provided at the Net Cost to the club. So it's a case of first in to book, first served, as far as seating goes, but where the stand is being installed along the back straight I imagine every seat will be a good seat.

I am just wondering what is the policy going to be with regards to deck chairs and marquees. The reason I ask that is because I was lucky enough to head down to christchurch to the NZ Superstock Champs in ChCh but sadly we were only able to get a general admission seating so had to sit on the grass. I was very impressed with the way they treated deck chairs basically you were allowed to use them but only at the top of the bank otherwise you weren't allowed them. The good thing was they had security on board to help with this and we had an incident where someone decided to put his deck chair right in front of where I was sitting. I was pleased that I was able to get them moved because we had traveled from Hamilton all the way down to chch and pay heaps to get their and the las thing you would want is to have someone come in and block your view.
