Dutchy 72c mate you are getting better every race well done keep it up.In my op-ion and i mean my op-ion Trevor should have won the pole shuffle,Richie got in front and then did what he has been doing for a while now and that is darn near stopping in the corners then nailing it down the straights.Trevor nearly went up his backside about three times.not sure why he does that i think he is better than that. Also what is going on with the track out there one day its mint then the next its crap.My moan finished now. Oops one more i thought they were naming the eagles team or did i miss it?

Looked like maybe car trouble or he didnt have the right set up and struggled to keep up Emmo pulled in around lap 16 after struggling with a faulty 'master switch'. A disappointed camper. I understand was also the victim of a points allocation mixup prior to the top six shootout. Excellent event over two days by all who participated!

Gidday Smity, what Richie does is called racecraft. If you know your opposition well enough, you know their cars weakness, braking/power etc. So therefore you can use this knowledge to outdrive them. It is not wrong, just being smart, and using the car you drive to get the best result that you can. = racecraft.

Sorry mate do not agree.if someone went into the back of him and put him out would it be called a racing incident or racecraft ?My op-ion i would call it justice.Like i said earlier i like Richie as a driver and have alot of respect for him but don't think he needs to do that.

It's called baulking , and if that is what he was doing then it's up to the Ref to sort it out . The eye of the watcher see things in different ways though, often swayed by loyalties.

Gee last time i looked at the track you could at least fit 2 cars wide if not 3 cars Ritchie drives within his limits and he knows how to control a race from the front. As per Shannon comment its called racecraft If any car drove up the back of him it would not be ritchie fault. Ritchie held the inside line the whole race and a couple of other cars went round the outside of him. If you thought that he was slowing the other cars down then why did they not go round the outside?? If they carn't get round the outside then they have to follow.... Simple.

I thought the nites racing was slack, spoilt by a very bad track, especially in the final, I know it is very hard to have a good track on the 2nd nite of a 2 nite program, but what was supposed to be the best race of the 2 nites was terrible, must have been the slowest ive seen supers go for years with the track slicking off badly. Im also starting to wonder wether stockcars no they are suppose to hit. But on the plus side for me it was great to see Murray Guy out their, and also the very old but still pretty quick 46a saloon.

Come on Kevin61,i think you just missed your mate nev,he would have broken the lap record each race and gone 4 wide to win each race and all that without breaking a sweat.

funny how misleading these things can be... On the second night, the first and second super saloon heats felt fast, looked fast, but in actual lap times were behind on the 25-lap final laptimes...

Im also starting to wonder wether stockcars no they are suppose to hit. I think you will actually find that because the superstocks were low on numbers and alot of the stockcar cars away in blenheim teams racing and the club deciding to combine the 2 grades together is why there was not much contact. I'm sure it will be business as normal this saturday night. And just to make sure you get your fix there is teams racing so there is going to be hitting for sure

I thought the track wasnt to bad it tested everyone in every grade not just the super saloons, and the 25 lap final well everyone knows by now that the track is likely to go slick and the drivers are well aware of it and set their cars up accordingly. Eg ... the top 10 cars that finished.
Many would have noticed the progress the 17c Lovelady Mustang made as the race progressed during the final because he had the correct set up .... Also those that fell off the pace due to having the wrong set up.so I think no one driver or grade was disadvantaged by the conditions it was just a matter of having the correct set up for the conditions...
Any one know what happened to 1NZ superstock in the last race when he seemed to loose all power and limp off the track.

Interesting, Race 19 on night 1 - fastest lap was a 17.3, - Final 25 lap race on night 2 - fastest lap 17.2. hmmm go figure? by the way lap record for Supers 16.86.

visacard you hit it rite on the head with what you said he can drive how he wants and if they want to pass go round the out side easy as that and the track well every one has to race on it wouldnt be good if it was the same every night.

Yeah jappa your probably right.(not) I guess im not a good spectator, after years of racing or being car owner, crewing etc. sitting in the crowd is not really doing it for me. And having a son who allways stirred things up in the stocks does tend to make me a bit critical I guess. Maybe next week I will get a bit more enthusiastic.

Sounds like the track for the final was similar to the hoopla last season. Ive never seen a track so slick it was black colour. it was like watching a big train go round slow cars and heavy brakes in the corners if u went out wide you would lose places big time. boring for the fans grid position determines the placings it might as well be 10 laps.
Maybe you Woodford glen people are just used to seeing that kind of racing and think its good super racing The best track is a drivey one with passing options
