I just got home from the 2nd night of the TWS Team competitions On a scale of 1-10 (10 being best) I would of rated night 1 at 100 it was fantastic so much action and carnage. Well then 2nd night mmmmm I would rate it about 2 very little action no roll overs, hardly an red lights in the team races. I feel gutted with what happened to Gisborne (I hope someone can clear this up) I heard on the mic that gisborne had 2 buy 2 engines today because they blew 2 yesterday. But in the 3rd/4th runoff Gisborne only came out with 2 cars apparently there was a complaint laid against Gisbrone because the engines were not sealed man they travel all the way and even went and had to buy engines today then the winning team Auckland told the stewards that they were not sealed mmm so they were told they could not race. Bugger!!!! I feel there needs to be a new campaign not smash the p but smash the jaffas I am just wondering what other people think of tonights racing?

I feel for Gisborne as well But rules are there for are reason say Gizzy were allowed to use those two illegal engines and went on to win the semifinal and the final with 2 illegal engines that would make a mockery of the rules.

I also heard that Auckland where happy to take the win ;D it wasnt until Gisborne went to protest over something that Auckland decided to protest so it comes to par. . Was a O for awesome meeting lots of on field action was very happy that I spent the extra $s on gas to go to Huntly Well done to Grunta & the boys been 2 long since Aucks has won a teams event..... As I said at the top of my post only what I.d heard in the pits lol

At the end of the day if they knew they had to buy 2 moters today & get them fitted " Well done guys" why didnt they arrange with an official at Huntly to get the new moters sealed??? I must also take my hat off to Harding from Gizzy really well done to come out with only 2 cars & then be the only G car left after 1 or 2 laps into it & to continue to mix it up & try to stop Rikki or any1 else in a H.B car that was game enough to come near him was to me the entertainer of the night WELL DONE

He is not afraid to attack even if he is the last man standing. Congratulations Gladiators for the 4th place, despite the issues!

I feel for Gisborne, and I think the SPORTSMANSHIP from HB needs to be mentioned...throughout the whole weekend the HB team showed awesome sportsmanship, great to see. WELL DONE! And to the Gisborne team, well done to you too, for all that you achieved.

i think if gisborne had told speedway nz earlier what had happend and possibly applied for "dispensation" or for there engine to be sealed they would have been able to race.thats my understanding of the rules anyway??i also think there is far to much protesting.i saw it at welly teams where auckland would protest a car coming off the polline where as every team does it.i believe u should be able to protest a protest ;D

Congratulations to the Alleycats on their win. It was great to see them build on their efforts from last season Thanks to all the teams & Huntly for making the meeting a must see.

again another amazing weekend put on by Huntley speedway. after the Friday nights destruction, the Saturday night was going to be huge. after manawatu steelers beat hawks bay ( just ) anticipation was high that the steelers would again triumph but this was not to be. Auckland played a great tactical race and although Ron Tye and MR ward gave it their all, it was left to the two rookies, a young and talented 557p who raced well and held the lead, but when faced with two Auckland cars hit the brakes and allowed the Auckland cars through for the lead, although he chased hard he could not peg back the Auckland leader. rob mason circulated, but points didn't matter. well done steelers and congrats Auckland.

"Which 2 cars was this that needed engine replacements" I don't know it was just mentioned over the commentary so was just a bit gutted by what happened. I just felt like there were more exciting hits on the first night compared to the second night. I feel that the people who only came to saturday night MISSED OUT HEAPS of action. "Its not smash the P but now smash the JAFAS"

great to see the auckland mascot in the crowd with all the kids, well done to auckland on the win , was a great race why was it up to auckland team to protest , no seals no race -its speedway nz's job to check the cars and fail them
apart from the teams races the saturday nite was pritty boaring , this could be a great event with some support classes, be a great nite to have a big field of street stocks

To clear up about the engine protest. Yes it was my car and Sam Hughes car. There were checked by SNZ it was made clear at that time to SNZ that our motors were runners from the wreakers and that they had no seals. (we didnt have time to arrange for them to be sealed before we got them back to the track) It was written in our log books that our engines were not sealed therefore giving us til our next race meeting to get them sealed and it was only protested from Auckland 20 minutes prior to our race with them. So hopefully this clears up all gossip.
