Thank you for clearing that up Ian, very much appreciated. Just wondering did this mean SNZ allowed you to race then auckland protested against it?? I am from Hamilton but both Gisborne and Hawkes Bay rocked with this competition and I will be ringing my cowbell in wellington in support of you guys in December

We would also like to thank TWS workshop in Hamilton for allowing us to change our motor and fix all our cars there and to all the people that ran around helping us to get back to the track on time for Saturdays racing

But if SNZ had said yes and knew the whole set up, they have given you a dispensation then?
So why the protest?

What a weekend,3 engines and yet another piece of controversy-darn GLADIATORS .What could of been ,a 1st up lost to Huntly B (but still got 2nd an 3rd) A win over our the Maulers(not an easy feat)and then a win over Wanganui to finish top of our group Then the controversy.Auckland bet us fair and square on the track-big respect to the team DRIVERS.but I find it a little hard to swallow that even if we had won on track we would of lost anyways .PLEASE keep the racing on the track an not in the protest room -it leaves not a very nice taste in your mouth If it hadnt been for the fact of the sportsmanship showed by the MAULERS an wanting to put on a show for the crowd we were almost going to give the last race a miss. I'm so glad we didnt , I thought Regan was going to get his wish and am sure he probably could of ;)In all a great weekend an will hopefully get some time to update my site cause I have got some great photo's courtesy of Yaz ;D ;D ;D ;D

I would have thought if an SNZ official cleared them to race the protest should never have been allowed, makes it a pretty hollow victory really, but I cant say I'm surprised!!!

Well hats off to HB for sportsmanship, and for trying to bring a little entertainment into a race that would otherwise have been a farce from start to end and for Gisborne for fronting up for the sake of the paying public. You guys truly understand the value of putting on a show.
Weekend overall - great! And Percy called it right in his review - well done, lad - but you missed out the bit where Regan shook Bruce Hardings hand for tipping him on his side, and for me and a lot of others, that was the high point of the weekend.
Full photo update from both nights can be accessed from my site - link in my sig.

Great weekend. Thanks again Huntly for the big show and for allowing us to camp at the track again. I'm not sure what time it all finished up in the clubhouse it was still packed at 2am I had to make my way to the door which took about 15minutes being stopped for conversation every few steps. Awesome stuff guys, it's always a blast. Hats off to Auckland, they raced extremely well with minimal mistakes and deserved to win the weekend despite any off track sour moments.
What's done is done, you cant change the past as much as you would like to. At the end of the day SNZ done their job, the Huntly track done their job.
All I can say is bring on Wellington!
