Blenheim is all go. Likely to be a slick track which will even up the field. - Four races taken place with wins to Phil Towgood, Paul Cressy, Walter Whittleston and Steve Williams
- A few DNS's from the south including Mark Newall, Phil Burgess, 13i Paul Renton.
- Steve Williams off the rear and up through the field in his first race suggesting he's sorted and on the pace still.
- 7.30pm 4th race 21h Williams, 291e Rob Flood , 77k Rossco Cresswell

Congrats to all the drivers, crews and the organisers. Enjoyed the series, even from in front of the laptop. Great event at Ruapuna, shame about Greymouth. Perhaps next year. Thanks also to the people updating the website, great.

Had a great time on the DHL Interislander DHL Series once again. A great group of people, racers, crew, drivers, sponsors, organisers and all the volunteers who made it all possible..
Just got told off for forgetting one of our long time sponsors, The Autobarn., Sorry Bryan & Lou
Thanks to the different tracks for hosting the series once again, Ruapuna was really nice, Invercargill, another track that we had not visited, and a shame about Greymouth as it would have been one more track to visit that we had not raced on before.
We really enjoyed the Southern hospitality, a big thank you to Rachel for the BBQ at Dunedin and also Blenheim for not just providing lunch for all the drivers and crew, but for after meeting nosh as well. Also to the Edge parts and performance shop for the very filling breakfast after the Ruapuna leg of the trip. Thank you it was much appreciated.
We would like to personally thank our Great Crew Members, Mike Russell, for his engineering expertise and his wife Jodie and their 2 girls, Nikita and Annamarie and Pam and Tony Lingard for their valiant efforts in getting the car fixed, prepared and clean for the next race.
Thank you to 13I for lending me some tear-offs when I couldn't buy any at the track.
The atmosphere off the track with the other competitors was excellent, we had a lot of laughs and everyone got on really well together, it just gets better each year!!!!
Thanks to Our long term sponsors Peninsula tyres (Wayne and Pam Turner), Whitianga Earthmoving, Easy mind Home based Child care, J.A. Russell Marine & Forestry Maintenance and Coastal Campers, DHL and Interislander and Valvoline for sponsorship and to Steve and Kirsty for great organising. It was a real shame that Steve did not get to race at all the tracks due to mechanical difficulties.
Thanks again to Carol for doing all the points and grid draws. And to Dave Clarke for the photography and for his website providing quick and clear information.
Phil & Christine Towgood. 48A

That 999D was going quite well too - would have qualified from the B Main if it hadn't lost a RF tyre on the last lap...
First time I've seen a FWD to RWD conversion in Saloons, I didn't think it could be done, but obviously the old rule that said it couldn't has now gone!!
So another good option of running a competitive RWD car without having to go to a V8 or an egg beater...
This one was a CRX with a VTEC converted to RWD going to a quickchange rear - looked small, light and compact - and went well!
Hey Robin - how about chucking a Mini body over the 4W Minisprint chassis, popping in a BMW 318Ti 16 valve motor and running with the saloons again??!
