Just got a question about how teams grid up. At huntly in the weekend the team setting pole put the car on grid2 just about against the wall. Isnt this a Disadvantage to that team? or doesnt really matter.Just seems like they cant do much if the car on pole turns right.

Turning right is the name of the game ;D I know but shouldnt they start in the middle of the track so both teams are equal before the race starts?

fairly certain whoever wins the coin toss can select pole position and as a result set the start position, therefore tactics for the start are in control of the pole starter.
of course it can turn to ****

Same rule applies for both normal and teams racing. Whoever is on pole controls where the grid will form.

I'm not a racer but...
It seems to me that it would be fair anywhere because it is opposite on the next row and you'd be leaving a huge gap up the inside - esp. if your plan was to try and take out grid 2 from the opening. Then by lining up that close you're also risking boxing in your team mate in grid 4.
But then once the light goes green strange things can happen.

Too right.. i think half the teams that do it confuse themselves and end up takin even longer..lol. Ive heard Commentators say its to psyche the opponents out, but when ive been in the hot seat, ive just been thinkin c'mon fool, stop playin musical chairs with your buddys.. lets GO!
