Just when my only speedway grace is Baypark when on call for work they go and cancell a meeting. Do I need to start a thread saying " when does a promoter impact on your speedway viewing" to replace the one I started suggesting " how does your job impact on your speedway viewing"
Was it the 14 stocks that turned up for the first round of the series and didnt hit anything or lack of supers for a sideshow.
Why is the meet postponed? Does anyone know?
Same ol same ol. Still stuck in BOP with no speedway. :-(

Sorry just seen previous thread. Not sure if vegas will happen for me. With other stuff on, 3 meets from Oct till Xmas is at an all time low for me and nothing has rocked my socks.
Bring on the champ meets. Cant even make the super saloons at Huntly.

Well i had already plan to go to Rotorua this weekend for a bit of variety. I'm away on the 12/12 so this weekend will be my last before Xmas - kind of sad really. At least the weather's looking good so far.

I think its a good think they postponed this weekend, they had to many meetings in Nov that people loss interest & the meetings become lack luster.. a few weeks off will bring people back for the super saloon prix & Ni Sprint cars. these next two weeks are sum good meetings ie Huntly Waikato super saloons then the following week SSCAR round 2 in Auckland. try going to those you wont be dissapointed.

Some weeks Bay park is my only option. Also I pay top dollar to watch. I want to be entertained. Entry fee is not 15/12 bucks. it is 20, so myself and my partner pay $40 bucks to see what's going on. That is our choice, but so far it has been very average, and now meets are beeing cancelled. as I say same ol same ol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agan Western springs is not an option. I stuck in the bop.
Watching the Dirt would suggest WS has lots of qual heats with half a decent field b4 holding the only feature races that are worth watching, similar to BP on a major meet.

Oh waaahh! What were you doing 10 years ago? Then there was no Speedway! You are in the almost prime spot to travel to about 10 different tracks within 4 hours, including Rotorua about 1 hour and Huntly.. just under 2? and you are complaining. You should see what SI fans do for regular speedway fixes!!. Look, it sux that Willie and co. canned the meet, but they must have their reasons, and probably is beneficial to the club not to run then. Hitch a ride.. change jobs or whatever. Knowing Willies luck ala practice, it will probably rain and everyone will think he made a good call anyway..lol.

Thats a bit harsh... if he's on call for work, then he's stuck in the BOP.
Having been in a job like that before, I know where Sonic's coming from. Its no fun trying to get a fix when at any moment you may have to be somewhere else. And in an urgent situation, being 4 hours away may be the difference between a happy customer and a very grumpy one. And Murphys law states its gonna be the one with the largest dollar value on the books...

An optimistic view would have this cancellation being designed to achieve bigger numbers of visiting cars at some of the upcoming Baypark meets . At least in the Sprintcar and Super Saloon fields.
Me optimistic?.........................yup sometimes. probably why I get disppointed quite often.

Willie probably wants to watch some action at the Springs this weekend. Dont blame him either. $20 and abit of fuel alot cheaper than running a nothing meeting.

well,I went there last weekend for the first time since the sprint nationals in 07/08,6-8 supers, less than 20 stocks @ 13 sprintcars, not a big crowd due to the wheather, this weekend 3 salons @ 1 sprintcar go to nelson & 3 more sprintcars come to the springs, salons & stocks run some where else, so it doesnt leave willie with to many cars,so in my mind good call willie.so ;Dany way you look at it,low car count,no crowd, everyone moans, cancel a meeting still everyone moans.just hope in the next few meets there he gets more cars & good crowds, its a great place to race at.

Not sure where the cars have gone. BP used to have big numbers in their 5 classes.
This year, mega mini stocks, good saloon numbers (18 last meet, usually mid 20's)
Half doz super saloons (the stars are away as they are this week in Huntly),
14 stocks for round 1 of the Hauraki series. Very little action. The stock car class was wanting some meets that was all about them, but now haven't supported it.
Sprintcars: 13 last week and three were from Auck. What does this leave when WS have international cars?
What is happening at BP? Car numbers are dropping in all classes (but ministocks). Why?
Can some one tell?
