Waikaraka Park 19th December.
Same format as Dirt Cup. 2 x heat races. Top 6 go to pole shuffle. 25 lap final race for title with top qualifier off the front.
Guys will be well use to the format come Dirt Cup time in Feb!

No votes for current 1nz? nearly 150 views and only a handful of votes. No interest out there for this meeting? Bot surprised there in no comment on the format being used.

Wasn't going to comment on the format as not my championship. Only thing I personally wouldn't like is the pole shuffle, but i can see the pros to having it. I just don't think it should be used in SNZ championships. Good luck to all that have entered.

Not sure I like the format for a NZ title either to be honest but you have to agree it is probably one that relies less on luck compared to the old 3 race format. I prefer the pole shuffle to having the top qualifier pull a marble to invert first 3 rows like the WOO format! Imagine doing all the hard work to be top qualifier and then pull a marble that says you have to start from grid 6! You would not be a happy camper! ;D

True wouldn't want to draw a marble, as i said can see the positives to doing the pole shuffle and I wouldn't put up a fuss if that happened in a championship I was running. I have had many discussion's on how championships should be run either 3 heats or all on the last and it just ends up being what your personal preference is. I personally like over 3 heats. (even though I haven't finished all 3) I can also see the reason's behind running it only over the one. Either way can make the night spectacular and an event worth remembering for drivers and spectators.
