sscar super saloon series Auckland this weekend..
Awesome format top drivers and the weather will be good ;D

after round 1 Emmerson 7m and McIntyre 1nz were the standouts
who will take out the 2nd round?

What's awesome about the format? .
hopefully you're going to tell me it will be full grids for every race and no time trials .

Format is:
time trials for grids for heat 1 .. then reverse grid for heat 2 (both full field 16 cars)
- top 6 cars for pole shuffle shootout (this is awesome side by side racing)

Feature race 15-20 laps

this format is easy to follow and exciting view for the fans ;D
you get your 3 races with full fields the time trials & pole shuffle are bonus to a full night of super saloon racing

actually you can ignore that post of mine as I just went and had a look and agree . it's a good 'un .
was expecting the Yankee set up.

Pity about the time trials though and a departure from what is on the website?.

'HEAT ONE: Pre-determined grid draws encompassing the six rounds (spread front, middle, rear) ensures fair and balanced front, middle and rear starts over the entire series for all drivers rather than luck of the draw on the day that theoretically could see a driver starting from the same grids in all six rounds.'

Lance Jennings should be a threat on his home track but its still hard to look past McIntyre 1NZ. He had a misfire in his engine in Round 1 at Meanee but was still fastest along with 7M Brent Emmerson.
Those 3 plus Peter Hemi who was sidelined at Meanee after the only stoppage of the night in the Super Saloons are my pick to be the front runners

with the rain leading up to saturday night should be lots a moisture in the track surface so expect some good racing!
