Egotist may be applicable - but sycophantic may not on this occasion? In fact, the people welding influence (Willie) are receiving far from flattery according to Cr Guys post. Inregards Willie?. They're not applicable.

Now I wouldn't often agree with much that Murray says but I believe he is right in this case. I went to the trouble of ringing the promoter and gaining a pass to play at his track only to have the offer rescinded on the night in question. I was just lucky that Rotorua was on the next night so the trip from Palmy wasn't wasted. It's not just the way he does things,it's the way he treats people and talks to people that gets to me. A little bit of civility would be nice, my personal protest was to never race or watch at his track again although I'm sure he don't give a flying ...... about that either. ;D

i have heard of this happening (Hermos comments) in the past, and must admit i was amazed and had trouble believing it, so there you go, strait from the horses mouth so to speak.... only last week a couple of competitors had emailed and left phone messages(early in the week) to WK/BP asking to run on the 12th, there messages where never replied too!!!!
