Good call Macgor - this is real news, and real news can be some of the best PR you can get. Anyone interested, or with a passing interest in speedway, or even none at all will be attracted to the headline. Then reading further into it will be stunned at the action that has been happening at the "bullring" in stratford, the last frontier of full contact motorsport where gladiators pyut there bodys on the line. The, we get some positive statements from the president, about the significant investment in safety the club is undertaking to provide the best facilities to drivers in spectators, showing Straford speedway club is progressive, and wanting to lead the country with there advancements. A great report, which is a good read, and full of some interesting information that may attract the casual punter to find out what the guts of all this action is. Well done the Daily News - keep up the good support of the track. ANd any chance to see the picture that was posted alongside the article? Same picture as what is on Macgor's home page Mr O. The one with Blair flying through the air.

I seem to have opened a can of worms here. i just call it how i see it and yes the daily news is giving the stratford very good exposure but some of the reports havnt really done alot of the classes justice i believe thay deserve and im not just talking bout midgets here im talking the whole speedway.
Maybe i just didnt agree what was said in mondays paper that got me going but i buy the paper just to read bout the speedway and dont really agree on whats been said all the time maybe im the only one with balls to say anything but just my opinion again.
Wooddsie todays paper is an absolute ripper best one so far keep up the good work sorry if i offended u/anyone maybe im to used to craigs/newsman style of writing

well that's very decent of you 95s. But I'm still struggling to grasp whatever point you are trying to make. Stratford Speedway is getting more publicity than ever, every class gets its share and dramas and major action are highlighted, upcomings are previewed and so on. The world is only interested in winners. Have you got a better recipe? This particular debate erupted over allegations that the track surface was causing wheels to come off and it got a bit off the rails then came back again. Safety is the issue here. If anyone has a problem with such matters being taken up by the news media on behalf of your paying, trusting public, I'll ask you this: would you prefer to see a headline such as: 'Spectator killed by flying wheel'?

I think that mondays article is what press reporting is all about first it asks a simple question forcing the reader to take an opinion then lists some facts on which to base that opinion..... some wheels came off, another car flew relitivly high threough the air, a driver was k'od another slightly injuired, the local president stated his position, wayne buckthought stated his thoughts and balanced it against cost
whats the problem
