hopefully the track will be as good as the last meeting when the DHL series started here, this is what they thought of the track......
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Excellent track surface saw a brilliant nights racing from the SSCAR drivers.
In general the racing was very clean apart from a turn 1 incident on heat 2 which unfortunately ended Peter Hemis night. They brought the cars back in to allow a few drivers to fix damage & brought them out later so the programme ran a bit late. Apart from this no yellows and flowing racing.
Emmerson was fast all night and Ben Harding looked good as well in ex McIntyre car but in the feature spun while in 3rd with only a few laps left.. 1NZ started of grid 5 in the feature and easily made it up to 2 ... both Shane & Emmerson pulled away from the field.. strong performances and a good battle for 3rd between Hodson 4w & Jennings 96a driving the ex Blondie Chamberlian corvette.
The local flynn boys didnt impress and grant had a good feature grid but drifted back. 1nz and 7m the fastest out there..
The first of a great series of Super saloon racing bring on Auckland in 2 weeks!!
