Looking like a geat line up for boxing day night races at Bay Park. 18 plus Supers to be there, and the long awaited first race of the new late model Super of Russell Donovan 71m. Having seen the car run this week, this car really moves and lets see what it can do on Bay Park. All the big names in Super Saloons will be there, weathers looking good too!

Hey Neville , how wide is that new beast of Russell D's? Can it fit on a normal trailer ? (A legal one)

Great night , even the stock cars did some good hitting. Donavans car looked good ,but not up to pace yet.
Mc intyre 1 NZ took it out and was the fastest there. 15 super saloons all up and some good racing to watch.
McClymont took out feature in saloons and 8m Fredrickson took out the Hauraki series with some good hits coming in to stop him . 24m Mr Daniels did some entertaining work trying to nail him and a few others. Only 9 sprint cars there but they were worth the watch.
Best nights racing i have seen for a while. well done every one involved . cheers

Good racing, but the track was back to its worst as a car breaker. This week's hotdog class was the Sprinters.

Over the years saloons have been looking less and less like the cars that they are supposedly modelled off, but that thing takes the cake. If it didn't have "Impala" emblazoned across the front I would have no idea what that was. And they can't even get the panels to match up - only my opinion, but "Hideous" is the only word I can come up with to describe it.

personally dont think they look great, but upon reading article in mag can understand what they trying to do, with trying to seperate the two classes in looks, and thats a credit to the saloon boys on the presentation of their cars that people find it hard to tell difference between the 2

Yea lets hope the body shape doesnt take off in nz and head down the track of the over seas looking saloons. 1nz and 59c saloons are great looking cars, but things can get taken over board huh
