I wonder when Rotorua will make a call to call it off especially for the out of town people as you do not want to travel all the way from hamilton to rotorua and to find out that it is called off after you get there............

The uk style stockcars are running but I have just had a look at the metservice website and here is the rain radar image for 9am this morning and well......... it looks like no speedway anywhere in north island depending how much water the tracks can handle............ Attachments:

Stan put his superstock on the track last night to test it and it had very little grip since they have added a new clay surface on the track, it means fast racing but when it is wet it is hard to get the track back ready to race, wonder how much rain fell last night in rotorua as it was really wet all the way back to hamilton......

Today Max 21°C MIN 15°C
Periods of rain. Freshening northwesterly winds. Tomorrow 30 Dec Max 21°C MIN 7°C
A few showers, then becoming fine. Westerly winds
Says on the rotorua website that if not run tonight will be 2moro, the metservice forecast for today isnt looking good. Still really wet here but would think sonya will make a decision later on this arvo.

Hopefully not too late especially if you are traveling from out of rotorua to attend the event That's Speedway - weather dependant. Think my biggest rainout haul to date was ANZAC a couple of seasons back - Raced Huntly and immediately departed for Wellington at 11pm. Arrived Paraparaumu 7am. Coffee and McD's. Beautiful day. Off to the track and sleep in the truck. Wake at midday to be told - all off. Drove back to Tauranga!
