Been thinking, why dont tracks have rollout cover to protect track from weather when bad stuff is going over. Eg like Criket do. Hang from above wall some were and out on to infeild Just and idea Is it a tick idea or dick idea

I give it the tick, I have been to many meetings at rotorua that have been affected by rain recently, eg the first night of the superstock/stockcar series turned up to find cars leaving..... 2nd time at the recent club night waited in the car for over 2 hours then went in and tonight as well........

interesting thought guess some merit to it, would be costly to do to start with i think, but if the rain comes the crowd wont so is it worth the cost, food for thought though

Gribbs thinks the set up would be expensive.
So I guess the question lies in - How much of a problem has it been? how much would it save?
Or would it be better to go the whole hog and have a roof to gaurentee the racing regardless of the weather (or season)?

kihikihi must be the only tracks that run all meetings so far this season as they race on SUNday and GODs day

We are praying for rain at Mystery Creek and None at KK or the other way around for that weekend? Gideon needs to get his fleece out (Bible Reference)

rain at neither except a little in the middle of the night to keep dust down. the 2 are close enough to gether that if you get rain at one place you are likelyt to get it at the other 2
