For anyone who loves speedway this will truly be a meeting you won't want to miss. Not only is there a stockcar teams race with visiting team from kihikihi up against our local fearsome guys but also an international series in the sidecar group between NZ and Aussie. The lineup for NZ has current 1NZ, 2NZ ex 1,2 and 3NZ. The aussie lineup boasts the current 1 in World, current Australian Champ and the other riders hold many titles also. The NZ lineup (sorry to say) is a strong one and will definetly be a meeting you won't want to miss. See you all there Jan 4th 7pm

glad to hear all are ok i hope that mick and blink 35v and mick and paul all make a speedy recovery. thanks for the info on the forum i am afraid the audio streaming last night was not real clear over here in australia. It was a bit of a shocker to work out who was who and what was happening. but thank you guys for all your efforts with it ,it is an excellent idea and must be great for all your local kiwis all the best with the next part of the series.

Went and visited mick headland yesterday. He's quite chipper really. Paul had surgery on his leg which is broken in three places below the knee and is in hospital for bout week. If any of my lil cherubs feel inclined you can visit Paul at the gisborne hospital and mick is at the Travellers inn, unit 2, gladstone road.Paul's better half is in unit 3. He was a bit tired last night but i'm sure he would like some good old gisborne hospitality and would enjoy a visit in a day or so.

Australian combination Darrin Treloar and Justin Plaisted raced away with Round One of the Ireland Motors Trans-Tasman Sidecar Series at Eastland Group Raceway Monday night.
The former World Champions quickly took a liking to the big banked track on a night that will probably be remembered more for two of the most spectacular crashes ever seen on the Gisborne track, resulting in trips to Hospital for Wanganui duo Mick Paul and Paul Blinkhorne(both later discharged), and current World Champions Mick Headland(broken ankle) and Paul Waters(broken leg).
Sefton Truuts and Calvin Fogarty made a welcome and successful return to their home track finishing as first Kiwis home in second place, Deane Miller and Jason Walters and Palmerston North’s Andrew Buchanan and Philpa Burns rounding out the top four.
The 5 round series travels to the South Island next before wrapping in Wanganui later this month.
