My son has his own camcorder, enjoys speedway and now regularly tapes most shows we go to.
However he has indicated uploading to You Tube has got much slower and harder lately, with some files taking hours to upload.
we do not get the full upload speed yet, but do average 750 kbps.
He records onto a SD card and the machine allows direct upload to You Tube via a one button operation.
He does not change the recorded format to upload, nor does he appear to downsize or alter the file in any way.
any tips and advice appreciated so he can upload quicker and be keener to get them online more.

Perhaps moving the file to the PC before the YouTube upload? It might be the SD card that's the bottle neck.

Perhaps a few things ive found is that using firefox has being an issue with me when uploading and changed to IE just for that reason, Although Youtube is buzy at times, files get adjusted and in cases re encoded, Its great to see others showing speedway in this country to the world, although i take it as all fun ,My cam work is not great ,not fast enough to catch everything, Whanau turning up surprising you lol,

Oiginal file size combined with SD card transfer will slow things down. I find I have to find he happy medium between file size and quality. I download via a video tape camcorder. I download to PC and edit in windows moviemaker or power diretor. Original file sizes can be 2 - 300mb when finished editing, I have to reduce as it would take forever to download. I would suggest the bulk of your prob would be SD card transfer though.
