I got told from what i thought was a fairly reliable source that it was the 13th March. But in saying that it wasnt at that stage a confirmed date as there is a speedway wedding that night!! And it would suit us fine if it wasnt that night as its the second night of the stock shock in Nelson that we normally attend!!

I read in another thread that the date has not been set and it will be announced when it is. This was from RamJam

I imagine it's not going to be an easy task to sort out a date for the completion of this meeting but hopefully it's decided soon.
I dare say it could get tricky if it's too far into the future as the risk of the same drivers and cars not being able to return would be quite high . I'm assuming that replacements would not be allowed given the event has been partly run .
Hopefully we hear something official soon which is the best way to stop misinformation being bandied about.
Trouble is the advice ' wait for the official word' is often used these days as a way of sweeping the problem away under the carpet and keeping everyone in the dark .

Hope that gets sorted out ,
The weather has played its fair share in disruptions this season,
With everyone's work commitments its just finding that right time.

Just hardluck Wellington with the weather - one of those things that are beyond control. All the best for rest of season!

some things to consider
4 semifinalist - cars and driver availiability might see the teams be short on the given weekend and thus not a fair chance at winning (welly in control of this in regards to the availiablity of the young guns drivers etc)
4 semi teams in plate (5th to 8th) - teams may not want the expense of travelling back to compete for 5th to 8th, inparticular the chch team. And also they may not be in position to provide same team cars and drivers etc
Consolation races - usually a highlight of the support programme....cant see all the drivers of cars that didnt qualify for semis returning to race so thus perhaps a weaker support programme unless wlgtn spdway come up with something else
timeframe to rerun a meeting might come into play and then what....total rerun so squads can be changes etc
lots to consider and its going to be inteesting to say the least

the whole meeting has to be re run. -not fair on drivers and cars that received some big hits and have been able to recover in time for finals.
-Plus teams in plate semis that are traveling along way will not have there mind set on getting 5th at the best.
-Are wellington going to pay travaling money to the teams to that made the semis to come back? cos they have already payed for it once. I know its not wellingtons fault that the rain came in, but what was another day going to cause, i would have rather paid an extra night accomodation than traveling up there.

Doubtful the whole meeting will be re-run.
Why don't they incorporate the 4 semi final teams at another meet and flag the 5th-8th plate if it's too hard for them to attend. Yes they have more time to repair damage. That's got to beta for the spectators as they will be at full strength rather than half beaten after two nights teams racing.
Not 2 worried about cosulation races as you can easily wrap a support programme around the semi finals. Also consulation races rarely pack a punch and are more of a reward for the guys that have traveled and missed out on the semis.
