cheers people was a great days racing. Was a great honor to win this and recieve the trophy from the man himself . I believe its the first time it has gone out of wanganui since it started as i am usually trying to help a V car win it. But i still consider myself local as i race there as much as i can and also started my speedway racing there. Oceans11 the number on the car is 898s ,Stevo got it wrong yesterday also lol. i have previously raced in this event in the 686s car of my brother in law mark coxhead which confused people yesterday also. Big thanks to all that raced and the V cars for letting me and my brother chris 888s go by .

yeah big ups to the Wanganui boys they certainly know how to entertain with the carnage they delivered and a special mention must go to 6v Dion Mooney the guy is a one man wrecking machine! every lap i did i saw Dion taking someone to the wall HARD!his crew also deserve credit for getting the 6v car back onto the track after every brutal race he competes in. and to Wanganui speedway...you guys have done an awesome job with the track surface as it held together so well with no big ruts forming all night, the track slicked off making it a more of a drivers track than a horsepower competition as Sandy showed with two wins with a stock standard engine. big ups to all those drivers that made the effort after 2 nights of full on racing on the Rut filled international track :-)
regards from the DISTURBED RACE TEAM

Ditto whoateallthepies - Sandy Flett won The Charlie - good mix of cars there - Pooh Bear Ross, Murfz 11N and cars from Welly, PN, Stratford, Rotorua and Huntly - Steve Halse won the first race and was straight on the truck (oil pressure, I heard). Good field of streeties and productions, and ministocks for Africa. But as the wind got up, so did the dust - grrrrrrr! Big ups to the club on all the changes they have made though. There's now a flat area half-way up the bank at the southern end, and the view is excellent. Halsey engine all sweet, no problems there
