ngatai had a run off with 52r mike herbert for the 6th spot ,herby won the run off as malcom haad no clutch and herby held him on start line and couldnt get going fast enuff,so no 1nz thru, and as see it about 6 palmy cars thru alteast 591p 7 p 72p 77p 58p 10p,wasa fairly tame night of racing except when 57p mounted 31p when he was upside down

I see the 9r tank was there any history on this car/driver? thanks At a guess, could this be the never raced Bart Powrse Tank? Either way it looks like a brand new KP Tank - and looks great not painted up in gay red. Anyone know what powerplant Anthony has bolted in ? There are some awesome photos in the photo thread kindly shared by bulletfan (thanks man) and there is one in there of the 9r beast

So, Ngatai didn't make the six qualifiers from the Red group, but surely he must have the opportunity to go through in the repechage tonight.

Ngatai will have the pole, from Kyle Fraser, so might depend more on lapped traffic than pace.

Thought the night on a whole was disappointing. drag racing track surface was a joke big wholes on corners from first race .big chunks off clay going over fence.i can't understand why they changed it ? sorry but all we heard was how many times the lap record was broken .Who cares ??public come and pay for action not lap records .we travel up and down country side to follow this grade and I'm now starting to wonder why .I'm thinking its time to forget about this grade and follow std stocks more ping for your buck. ;D

No would like to think this class would have got its act together but they seem to be in self destruct mode .the class is struggling for competitors and with price tags of one car i have seen over 100,000 for car plus running cost they are going to kill there class ,not to mention the fans who will give up on them and will stay away from big super stock meets or only go on final nights.end of the day everyone is going to lose and at sum point powers to be have to make sum decisions .class in point modifyds where are they now?not many tracks have them. If speedway NZ put limits on all classes competitors would adjust and carry on with a big sigh of relief i suspect every one could compete and everyone could have the chance to be a winner and Not how big your wallet is.come on sped, way NZ save your product don't berry your heads in the sand
