I must admit if the track wasn't just 10-15 mins drive away I would be thinking twice And that's the point isn't it, with WS finished there's a captive Auckland audience who have decided Stratford is a little too far away that might be tempted to Baypark with a tiny little bit of available information. I'm sure I'm not the only one.........

I think it's probably the December one, as Dean Brindle is 1nz and Rodney Wood is 51m..........
I found a list on scw's site, good numbers and probably accurate, but if BP can't be bothered promoting it themselves they don't really deserve the support...........

Jack Easton will be staying in hospital overnight.
Should be OK to travel home tomorrow. Brent Harris will be driving the Big Rig home.
The Sprintcar was impounded, but has been released. Loading it back into the trailor now. In a sorry state as it bent one of the big posts on the safety fence!

I do believe he was the highest placing New Zealander at all 3 of the Sprintcar champs this season?

just heard Ian Easton has had a massive incident that took out some of the safety fence . Ambo's were still with him in the car at last message 5 mins ago . fingers crossed. I got video of it & I'll post it in a day or so. I'm glad he's going to be ok. The move of the night was by Rodney in the first heat. Rodney was on grid 6 and by the end of turn 2 was first after sweeping around the outside of all before him. He then cleared out from everyone else in his heat. He didn't do well in the dash ( setting first 12 grid positions of the final ) which ment he had to start the final from the 3rd row. The Final had Dean Brindell out front for most of it with Rodney following through the traffic. Then his car came in / dean's went off - he mde the pass, won the NI champs. Ron was there with his 63a and the pointy wing. It didn't help as he was last missing out on the final. Colin Entwhistle (dark horse) was a DNF in the final. I hope this is not too disrespectful given my racing experience amounts to the carts at Splash Plant in Hastings. But you could easily tell the difference in quality of driver/car between the Dash & the B Main (race for gris positions 13-20) Other classes: Saloons - Driver of the night was Chris Taylor. He won the 2nd heat and started off the back in the feature where he made a whole heap of stunning passes to finish 4th (?). I'm not sure Michelle Wymer won too many friends tonight with some agressive moves that brought her into contact with other cars. Super Saloons: a triple for Ben Harding. A first for him, but not for his ex-McIntyre car. Well done Ben. No Stockcars but the Ministocks changed to rolling starts tonight which made for cleaner starts but disadvantaged Kendall (6m) She not that quick so it just meant she was that much further behind from the beginning. This was a really good night's racing (better than an airshow ) Turned out to be only $20 not $25. The program was only $3 instead of the usual $4 - It was the one printed back in December when the night was rained off In it Dean Brindle was still 1NZ you just have to ;D or you would good crowd number without being exceptional.
