Hard to compete with a free air show but about **2,200 fans enjoyed top racing from some of the best race car drivers in the country * Dave is busily counting heads from many pictures taken at different angles to improve the accuracy of reporting stats as we speak so the number used above is only temporary until the correct numbers are known.
** have altered my original estimate of "a couple of thousand" to a more accurate count from Dave who has a head counting system and can make clever assumptions based on having been a regular attendee of baypark for long time now and not being afraid to talk to the right people and ask the right questions.

Those pic of where Easton hit the post are just what I need to take to speedway meetings when you see the deathwish spectators stand up by the fence.

I didn't look at it on the night. But I think that they sould have roped off the area while cars were racing for safety since they didn't replace it. Allow people past the area between races but not while the race was on. The only repairs they made at the time was to the wire netting.

As per snz rules grid 2 sets the pace not grid 1.Kerry-ann James clearly jumped the start & why get on the gas as grid 2 car sets the PACE.The yellow came on before must cars got to the start/finish line. Now if the car on grid 2 got on the gas & it stayed green, that person would of been disadvantaged. The cars even in row 2 didnt even get on the gas as they know grid 2 sets the pace.
