to be realy honest you guys left your run so late to get a good field of sprintcars far to late most teams pull the pin after harrisville that to most teams is the end of a long season. as much as we would like to run there your timing is off. maybe better luck next season... word on the street is stratford may look to tie up some form of a deal with palmy sprintcar drivers to run a show or two there next year. maybe if you get in in time you might get a look in with that program.... as i say it only word on the street

it seems the stumbling block is the ctra bit going by wingnuts post, the recent fatality in the ministock was recorded as a mechanical fault in our paper and on our internet homepage so if this is the case,no promotion be it ctra or snz can be held accountable for something out of their hands, its not we go racing for, nobody wants this to happen.pointing the finger at either controlling body is not the answer.wasn't there a young man killed by a sprintcar a year or so ago was that at a ctra track?,i dont think so,and quite a few years ago a wheel came of a streetstock going over a fence hitting a young child, not a ctra track either. i am not currently a member of either controlling body so i am not sticking up either, just like to see good racing on good tracks bring back the meremere highbank track

for sure, hey it would be good if stratty did a deal to run at ferndene you know it is hipocritical that they think ctra tracks are unsafe, yet they will use them if they run the shows there,a promoter that ran a track in auckland ran a meeting or 2 at meremere a few years back,go figure. imagine the americans that ron brings over running no mufflers and wide open on meremere, thats what people want to see,

Thank you jeds for your reply to wingnut99, I didn't have a chance to earlier as went to Wangas as some of our CTRA guys were racing down there on a SNZ track (sorry had to get that in lol) Wingnut I would like to know where you got your information from cause its right off the mark. After a full investigation which SNZ officials also worked along side with CTRA officials nothing was found out of place bar as jeds said a mechanical fault that may have been the cause of the incident. Your post is totally out of line and has nothing to do with this threat and finger pointing is not a good occupation to get into when you dont have the right information.
Jeds I have in the past heard our track compared to the meremere track with its size and banking and back in the early days when the outlaws used to come to Ferndene it was bloody awesome watching them 3 wide in the corners and foot flat to the floor. As you stated in your earlier post "just like to see good racing on good tracks" That is our committees goal, not to compete with SNZ but to co exist and bring some hard out good racing to our good track.

Reading what COWBOY 92 has to say got me thinking(a rare occurence some might say) maybe we are looking at this the wrong way round,we have a GREAT track, you guys out there have what in my opinion is the premier open wheel class SPRINTCARS,you tell us what you think is the best time of the season to invite you to come and have some fun, while I can only speak for myself I have found most of the current club members very obliging and helpful so I am sure they would agree to a Sunday show if it suits to run say Palmy on the Saturday and then Ferndene Sunday, the balls in your court fellas!!!!

to be honest trucker400 the best time is early in year like nov dec jan and i think you would get some teams intresred more than the end of the year like march april etc. i dont know if you have many sprintcar contacts but i think you need to send/ring them and talk to the drivers to get feed back from the teams. i agree with you the sprintcars are the premier open wheel class but it think there the best class this country has got.
