Thanks heaps to the Midgets who raced last night....Great racing and JEEZUS the deathly silence when Shane Alac launched over the safety fence was airy...I breathed a sign of relief when it was announced that Shane was out of the car unhurt and no one else was hurt... There definitely were a few angels around last night...
I don't often watch the midgets but when I do I know they always put on a great show

If Red Bull gives you wings, Monster certainly gave Shayne something last night!!! I spoke with Shayne in his trailer after racing, and he was a little sore in one leg, but will likely feel it all over this morning. The chassis was extremely second hand, however, and will not have been getting packed up today for the Australian trip as originally planned.

Thank you to everyone last night who helped put the show together.
Special mention must go to the ASSCC Committee, Bryce Townsend, Greg Mosen, Geoff Harper from NMCS the visiting drivers from around the country, the two Australians and their car owners Danny Lendich and Mike Ballis. James Selwyn, Colin Irwin and Clint for there support with the Program. Ian Derbidge and Barry Brown for their comments with the broadcast. SPL for allowing the midgets to race. The support classes for working with the show last night Special thanks must go to the fans who without them there would be no point in making a show. Roll on this Saturday with the WEBSTER where the Sprintcars and TQ's have their turn at Waikaraka Park.

can any one tell me why hayden williams was put to back of field after the red light??? I think, but am not totally sure, but I think that it was because he changed a tyre. Apparently you were allowed to work on the car, but a tyre change is considered a little more than altering a setting. Maybe Bill75 may know a little more on such rulings?

Your right Barry. Under NMCS rules if you change a tyre you go to the back. We also voted unanimously at drivers briefing that if you stop on a yellow you go to the back......prime cause or not. Same as we have been running at the Springs. Works very well and would have stopped all the problems at the NZGP. Takes the guess work out of who is Prime cause and allows the Referee to police the race and watch for things such as cars driving into the back of other cars causing a massive pile up.....then taking decisive action on it......or not

Does that mean Shane Alach could have changed his whole car. He carried his car over the wall with ease
