They only wanted 150 people at $20, so $3000 for one camera plus feed for qualifying. Im sure they are doing it for the love of it, and are probably more pissed off than everyone here that it went down when it did. thats a lot of money for 4hrs work? They must make real good $$ when doing it just as a job and not for the love of it., Im sure the $3000 wont be going straight into the pocket, traveling, motels and all sorts to get done to make it work. Even have a web site running is a cost.

;DYeah dont also forget they pay a % of the money they make to the host speedway, so that might be a 1/3rd or 1/2 gone straight away, plus website and hosting fees, camera hire also, cameramen to run them, satellite dish hire, plus all the other costs like fuel and motel and what not. I honestly hope for all our sake that they do make a tiny bit of money along the way so they continue to do this for us, as its only way ill ever see events in NZ now im based in Brisbane

Well done speedbox? What are you guys smoking?
I'll have my hand up for a refund. Heat 3, the big build up drum roll here we go and ............this is what we have all been waiting for. And we get to see what?
I'm not saying they don't deserve full credit for there efforts in making it happen, but as far as the product goes it hasn't moved in from the last time I had a refund 2 years ago.. It crapped out then too.
The only reason I came home was because I knew I had the option of watching it on speedbox.. with promises of new and Improved, all bugs ironed out. Yeah Right.
What s wrong with you guys? You've all gone PC mad...
Don't feel ashamed for asking for a refund they screwed it up again and your entitled to your money back. and if your stupid enough to sit back and say good on ya speedbox you can have my money for screwing up, Where is the incentive to fix the problem.

How are they going to fix the problem if they dont make any money? And i can guarantee you watched the final didnt you, so right up until the last race you were happy but you still want a full refund. To me thats just plain greedy and doesnt help speedbox develop. But its ok because you get to watch it for free dont you. If you knew that the issue might have happened why risk it? or does it again come down to 1. cheaper than being there and 2. if you in your casr get to see 95% of it and that 5% isnt good you just ask for all your money back. Do you complain when speedway gets rained out after 6 races? do you expect your money back?

I paid for a service and it didnt deliver. I wasn't interested in the rest of it.. I signed up for the NZ Superstock 3 race Champs and didn't get to see it. I want my money back.

I have used speedbox in the past,
I can guess i think the last major outtage they had was at the NZ Superstocks teams,
My guess but i think that they have to much demand for there servers, and as we know you can crash a server by simply bombarding it with too many requests, cant say that caused the outtage but thats whats happened in the past.
I was also not far from the camera between 3 & 4 turns, and if its confermed that thats a speedbox camera, the operator did not have any coms,or any way of talking to the control van.

So you got to see 2 champs races plus the other races but 1 missed race and you want a refund, i ask again, had it have been rained out after 6 races would you ask the club for a refund because you paid for something but didnt receive it. You now have the option to watch it for free which doesnt benefit speedbox, you dont want to subsidise them but complain when their service isnt up to scratch, ohwell i guess they wont need to worry about you using it again.

Speedbox offer money back satisfaction and I'm sure they are happy to stand by it . Telling someone they should subsidise something is a bit off I think . We all make our own decisions.
darned if I would pay full price for a half sized ice cream even if they were trying to develop a better tasting one but on the other hand my preferred worthy cause is welcome to my donation.

My point is whilst its not subsidising the money develops the service and theyve paid full price but received alot more than half macgor.1 race as i said although the big one is great value for money rather then being there but instead now speedbox has paid for things, something out of their control has gone wrong so people get their money back and the service. If you want to watch it unimpeeded be there otherwise do to the nature of the internet and sattelites (this isnt sky or national tv after all) there MAY be issues.

And I still wouldn't pay full price for a 3/4 size ice cream.

Well my reaction is based on using speedbox and having issues with the service but realising it was out of their hands. I guess some people have higher expectations. Its ok for some to sling speedbox with mud but not ok for me to take a stand for them.

Its ok for some to sling speedbox with mud but not ok for me to take a stand for them. speedbox's stand is full customer satisfaction. If you were satisfied that's great but if the other chap isn't he is able to gain satisfaction via a refund and speedbox's credibility is intact. If it was me I would not ask for a refund but that is my choice and no one should dictate what my choice should be.

My first time using Speedbox wasn't a pleasant one either. But I stuck with them and they got through many issues over the last few seasons. Growing pains are common with every business. Sure they have a 100% money back guarantee but if everyone asked for their money back how would the service get better in the future?
These guys are doing a huge favour to speedway in NZ so the more "constructive" criticism we give them, the better the service will get.
