My first time using Speedbox wasn't a pleasant one either. But I stuck with them and they got through many issues over the last few seasons. Growing pains are common with every business. Sure they have a 100% money back guarantee but if everyone asked for their money back how would the service get better in the future? These guys are doing a huge favour to speedway in NZ so the more "constructive" criticism we give them, the better the service will get. but not everyone will be asking for their money back , doubt more than a handful would . A service offered is a service offered. A refund offered is just that too. Chill pills must be in short supply.

Thanks to speedbox from me regardless of problems I was at work so watched the replay the next day, no speedbox no replay for me I would of just been reading every body elses perspective of the meeting. And I was a subscriber last season never asked for any money back but they did it anyways and I will continue to support them. So Im guessing the moaners have never had there power cut off the internet go down the cell phone service disappear there lives must be perfect ;D

I enjoyed the speedbox coverage again this time round although my broadband went down 1 lap into heat 2 of the finals and restarted just as the cars were headed off the track, so i missed all of heat two. Then there were the heat three problems that we all know about. but did watch it when they showed the race 20 mins or so late.
Still aint seen the rees run off as i had to go to work straight after they showed heat 3.
I was happy enough with SB although the ping ping Telecom operator did get to learn a few new kiwi words.
I will not be asking for a refund, but like the big mac says they offer it so would never tell someone whos not happy to let it slide.
A lot I guess depends on whats is on at the time they have a failure. $$ are a bit tight at the mo so I am considering skipping palmy teams this year and doing speedbox. I will be p!ssed if I miss a single race on night 1 but hey if it craps out on an interview on night two and i miss that and half a support class race well thats life. I guess if Jamo had been at home watching SB from rotorua and they missed the mods but got every hit in every stockcar race from 20 different angles he would be asking for his refund where as I would say I had a lucky escape from watching mods... thanks SB here another $20 (just kidding jamo about the 20 quid.... i'd give em an extra $40 ;D) So different strokes for different folks i guess.

As a subsriber of this service I also went through all the drama of missing out (until the actually replayed it 20 minutes later) seeing the live third heat. I guess in perspective, for the 3 of us watching the single feed, missing out (albeit temporarily) on maybee 10% of what was promised, yep, I’m keen on getting my 10% of that $20 investment, divided by 3, that makes it ~ 66 cents I reckon they owe me! I’m seeing my lawyer! Don’t forget, those that seek refund are also taking money out of the Paradise Valley Speedway fund, therefore out of the competitors pockets. Unlucky Speedbox, someone tripped over you’re plug. I’ll certainly use them again, & recommend them. I'm not recomending Marty as a geneachologist though, not that I would know but I suspect he wouldn't be that good at it. BL

Well at least it looks like Speedbox coughed up for a paid ad here this time around so God bless you Speedbox, all your sins should be forgiven. Amen.

Hey Marty, I was actually having a sarcastic poke at those wanting a refund, I don't really want that 66 cents back. What is the cost for a senior citizens ticket at Meanne (who probably jumped the fence anyway) these days? I'll refund you're ticket myself. I told those guys to take a couple of sparkplugs out because there would be too much power for them.

;DYeah dont also forget they pay a % of the money they make to the host speedway, so that might be a 1/3rd or 1/2 gone straight away, plus website and hosting fees, camera hire also, cameramen to run them, satellite dish hire, plus all the other costs like fuel and motel and what not. I honestly hope for all our sake that they do make a tiny bit of money along the way so they continue to do this for us, as its only way ill ever see events in NZ now im based in Brisbane so it will be tax deductible, I didn't know they were a charity, and didn't realize they needed a website to run this thing ;D ;D
