I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for there support and help over the last week. Starting with the McKenzie's for driving the bus up on Christmas Day, and all the dramas that went with it. To the Rotorua Stock Car Club, it was a very well run meeting set up for the drivers. On the Boxing Day meeting we only managed 6 or 7 laps before blowing the diff, a huge thanks must go to Shane Penn for lending me his spare diff, and all the helpers putting it back together on the night, (a special mention to Jamie) Thanks for the support from all our sponsors involved with the car and Midwest Motors for another great engine (the last 3 1nz have Midwest engines),to Speedy Signs for sponsoring the meeting and the awesome trophy. Thanks to my lads for taking the time out of their Christmas break to spend preparing the car for each race which ended up being longer than expected due to rain outs. Thanks to all my friends on the track you no who you are but a special mention to Higg and Shane. To everyone that txt and left phone messages thanks for your well wishes and congratulations. I could never achieve what I have without the support from my wife Christine Kids Daniel Amelia and Holly. Hopefully I haven't missed anyone out but if I have please don't be offended as my memory is not as good these days. From the new 1NZ 2011

Awesome Dale , yours was a very popular win among the fans not only for the effort on the day but also for the many miles and laps done supporting many meetings around the country in the past. Respect earned and now rewarded. Enjoy the 1nz.

Without being or sounding like being disrespectful to many other superstock drivers/teams who I know put in a hell of a lot to get to the track, I personally appreciate more the guys that at least have a hand in building there own cars, fix them, Aren’t necessarily the best of gear but drive the pants off them to get the best out of them, & don’t have the big ego. Dale ticks all those boxes & to me is very pleasing to see yet another genuine old school racer take a very well deserved win, especially after the trials of last year. Also, dito to what Mr Macgor has said. My hats off to you, & congratulations on the win & deservedly having you’re name forever etched in history. Brendan Lucas

Fantastic effort all right. Having been at Kihikihi (both times) to see Hig win it last year, I wish I'd been there to see Dale take it out this year. I was tossing up whether to trip across to Rotorua too, but ain't that just the way it is...
