Yeah nice work Mr Lucas and best of luck to Elmo,Paula and Mike with the trial engine. I'll be monitoring the progress with great interest ;D

Thanks for the update Brendan. Will the car be ready for Palmy opening night? not very likely ,and are away the following weekend in rotrua for a 21st,we are looking at the 29th october all going well for its first outing , |

would just like to say thanks to Brendon ,Craig and Paula for the chance to drive a superstock I'm sure this will be a huge eye opener for me and with everyone watching this car will make me even more nervous, if i can drive this car half as good as chucky did i will be happy

Good luck Craige & Paula, and Mike, and good on you for having a go at improving things for everyone SNZ and Brendon Lucas. Only my views:I'm no technical ex-spurt but I believe that the trial motor won't have heaps of horsepower, but the new GM V8 will have plenty of torque. This will mean it'll probably be good off the line and for driving out of corners (into the opposition). It'll probably run out of puff compared to some of the formula one type budget gear at the end of the straight. For only about 8 grand for a brand new sealed motor it would not only enable more people to take part in the class, but it would leave more money in the owners pocket for steel and welding wire and the odd shock and such like, and allow drivers to drive their cars like Stockcars instead of Nascars. In my view, more races, and fans, are won in the corners than the straights anyway. Good luck to team General Motors Superstock and don't be nervous but go hard Mike Gaskin, it's a strong car - give it heaps. Just gotta wonder though... where's the mighty FORD trial motor?
