this had the potential to be a great meeting, unfortunately trying to fit it into one night meant a very late finish.
The track prep early left a lot to be disired (dust and ruts) once there was enough water in the right place the dust was not an issue but it was too late for the ruts, dispite this there was some great action on the track
There was a general lack of results and updates of points, we finally got an update on the stockcar pairs points prior to the final heat but the streetstocks were another story, I left the track with no idea who won or placed.
very disapointing

well done jimmy on winning the gp well deserved bro and 2 delo on ya 2nd well dne old fellow  and 4 us to get 3rd was a huge effort from the gooch motorsport crew after our celebration on friday none of us felt like racen or even driven to napier ; but we made the effort and got a podium couldnt ask 4 more. special mention must go 2 all the south island racers to hang around extra week do the nz then next nite the g.p thats a huge effort from drivers and crew well done guys |

From what I saw and heard from other spectators they thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and was one of the best meetings for quite some time.

Tolly was there till 2am that morning trying to get water into the track & then he was back very early in the morning to carry on the prep. We have gone from one extreme amount of weather to the other....
All drivers have to compete on the same track & I didn't hear any drivers complaining after the meeting in the clubrooms. They seemed to be all pretty happy with the way the meeting went.
There is only one thing I could see, was too many classes running....maybe could have dropped a class...Superstocks??? But overall the meeting has to be the best of the total season so far....let's hope that we move onwards & upwards from here.

Was a Good meeting and the drivers enjoyed themselves why it was long and seemingly too many classes was because we had more Stockcars and Streetstocks turn up than expected and xtra races had to be put in the program
Superstocks were just having a shake down before the NZ's as we are not racing here for another 5 weeks (feb 18th)
