took the old ea out and put the au in, put wiring back to how i thought it was when i took the old one out, now i have no spark from the coil, have my live wire to the positive on the coil with the positive from the dizzy, have my negative from the dizzy to the negative on the coil, wind it over and no spark at the plugs or the HT lead either, put test probe on coil and yes power at the positive of the coil and also the negative as well ?, a new diode pack (ignition module) was put in before the dizzy went in, maybe that was stuffed up? ?, what wires go where in there?mine goes from rear of car to front green,red,black,black one of the blacks cant be stuffed up due to the spade connector being a different size to the others, its something silly ive missed but has done my head in for one night lol, any electrical guru's out there able to help

do you have the rotor in is it cracked ?

yes rotor is in, not cracked, should be getting spark from the coil HT lead anyway, the negative and positive on the coil have power when the ignition is turned on too thats not right is it???, should only be the positive?

The Negative of the coil will have 12v on it whilel nothing is happening. The negative side should be pulsing while the engine is turning over as it is switched to ground. (shoud pulse to ground (0v) once for every time there should be a spark) you also need to check the signal coming back from your dizzy. (Do these use points or magnetic switching or LED type switching?) This should also be switching on and off each time a spark is needed.
