The higher the better torque the lower the better yop speed. I hope this helps

3.59:1 means the drive shaft will spin 3.59 times around to 1 rotation of the wheels. (Is that what you were wanting to know?)
As Rusty said, The higher the diff ratio number the more acceleration, the lower the number the more top end.

were are you from? for tight trracks like wanganui or rotoruna then you want alot of talk, if you are from say, palmly or bay park you want alot of speed for the bigger tracks
