I think its been mentioned before but when the exhausts heat up and glow on the v6 holdens they are leaning out and it is the alarm wire out of the ecu that needs to be powered up.Am I close? Does any one have a wiring diagram for the wires from ecu to motor in a stockcar? Not just the normal one, I want the only wires you need to get one wired up.Do they still run the map sensor?

Check your ecu if its STD type, Check your Memcal chip inside of your ecu.If it is dislodged the car will still feel like its going fine, But the ecu will not supply you total advance 2 the engine and you will glow under load allright. Its the same as running your car without your ecu pluged in, Will run but you will have problems.

I very much doubt it is anything to do with computer. It will be air/ fuel mixture settings for the carb need to be adjusted. try different jets. 5 years with a v6 & i never got a glow on as we changed the jets to suit the temperature of the day/night. You can also check if you have the right spark plugs, this will cause it to lean out
