hi there, can anyone please help with a steering problem.i had a power-steer hose blow out and have had new one made, after getting new hose made and re-fitting,the steering will turn hard to the left all buy its and when you try and turn the steering wheel ,to turn the wheels back, wheel will get ripped out of your hands and turn back to where it was,the steering wheel will also shake vigorously.i have put a new power-steer pump in,so can only think i must be the box .am not sure what sort of box it is,car is a kuriger chassis and all i can see on box is some numbers and a box with a s in the middle of it.can anyone please help with what sort of box it is and any ideas on what the problem could be. cheers in advance Paul.

Firstly, have you got your hoses round the right way?.Make sure you havent got your pressure side into the return side and vice versa. If the hose blew you may have tower troubles in the box as the pump is obviously working OK so the fault may have happened just before the hose blew. If the problem is in the servo tower then you will need a power steer techy to help as the teflon seals in the tower are a job not left for the faint hearted!!! Would suss out another box for sure. P.Kuriger used to use Holden and Valiant power steer boxes and that same fault can happen with both when the s h i t goes down!!! Let us now how ya get on.

yeh sorry Paul, meant to ring you during week, think the problem is a servo problem in the box itself. not unknown to stuff up apparently. we know its not the pump{s}, all lines ok,and return line not blocked. Davey asked me to pass that on to you,he clicked at the Glen, but forgot who was wanting to know!!! i was in for wofs on the cars, and he asked if it was me with the mate with stockcar steer probs!! i said sure is ;D ;D ;D i will give u a ring, new house all go,may need borrow me transporter back!! shift some cars! no great rush tho yet. cheers, bruce.

will be the box servo's, pump is obviously pumping fluid and power steering systems are self bleeding so wont be air, cheapest option may be to find a new box.
