Has any thought been given as to expanding the list of suitable donor cars?Living in Auckland, the cars currenlty listed are getting very scarce, and are priced accordingly...........and this situation is only going to get worse.

Still a lot of vehicles and hoards of parts amongst the class competitors. Along with the large number of ministocks for sale at the end of each season or as kids turn 17, I don't see it being a problem in the near future. I just bought 2x complete Sunny 310's last month for less than $1700. Ask around the local competitors if you need parts or BNT, Repco etc still have tons of service parts.

it's not so much the big parts (motor, gearbox, diff, etc) that I'm worried about, but stuff like the pedals/cylinders........steering box,and so on.I want to build, not buy,a car.

People are paying stupid money these days for Donor cars.. I bought a B310 sunny when building Tylers car for a Box of LionRed.. People will be buying road worthy cars soon.

As I said above, talk to club mates etc and ask around the local competitors. steering box, pedals etc are not parts that are damaged/worn or replaced frequently and are certainly not hard to find. At $2500-$3500 for a complete s/hand ministock I am not sure why you would bother building one? We simply bought an old car complete with trailer and spares and freshened it up with shocks and balljoints and corrected some basic suspension geometry and my son has had 2x seasons of cheap racing. If you can manage the freight I can help with the parts you have mentioned.
