How strictly is this rule policed? Taken to extremes,you couldn't change diff ratios............or replace any damaged parts(repair only)

How strictly is this rule policed? Taken to extremes,you couldn't change diff ratios............or replace any damaged parts(repair only) One donor car type. Datsun or toyota Then various models, but suspension should be the same as motor. The one car is not enforced at all.

The rule is to stop the mixing of parts,eg no mixing of 120y parts with b310 on the same car

that's the sort of thing I mean......... I guess the bigger struts aren't seen as any performance gain............but how about a KE70 Corolla coil sprung diff behind a 3k?

Sure, but the Toyota exhaust breaths better so that's an advantage to them too, however in our Nelson club there are currently only 2x Toyota Ministocks which maybe tells a story in itself.

The Toyota leaf springs offer better spring rates for heavier/older drivers were the coil spring diff is limited to lighter/younger drivers. If you understand what you are doing, leaf spring rears are very good and certainly not at a disadvantage.
