As spectator/keyboard racer I think team colours are a must, and would like to see their normal race numbers. I have watched speedway for a long time, and know the drivers numbers, but teams that race consecutive, or Lord forbid, the Alley Cat numbers are hard for me. Even better still both classes that teams race should present their ( race car ) bodies to SNZ for sign off, so as not to have colour clashes. I can't see the numbers being important for the drivers, in seeking their victim. Bumper colour would help lots tho, for both teams. Maybe racing tape for the final as per Wayne Hemi when Gizzy held the NZ champs. Remits to that effect (numbers and colours) have been put in in the past, but all failed. Barry B

Just another thought, if we all change our numbers then what about team merchandise with team numbers that teams still have it becomes useless and what numbers would the poms run? Same number s they run at 240s if there I would guess or there numbers from home

I can't see Lundy being in the team due to his age. Also Team GB owns 2 or 3 cars so some of the team will transfer to those cars for the event.

Theres the Rees tank the team brought. Do we have any idea who will be in the Pom team yet? Is Frankie in or out for teams?

No one has been announced yet but I would guess going by what has been said on internet that FWJ and Scriven are over in NZ for the teams as well.

Why aren't there any blockers in the Mustangs all runners get rid of 581 he can't block get Alec Wilson in he would put his car on the line for any team he's in.

There are seven drivers who put their names forward for the Wildcats and one more who might be willing if absolutely necessary, so I can't see there being to much problem having a team.

Im not sure about having no blockers, i see joblin and kerry humphrey who have both in the past done a great job of blocking. Will humphries has tangled with the best in a stockcar before although supers are faster but you gotta give youth a try and jordan is like will even though i cant remember him blocking at all but a good tidy runner. Wayne Hemi is the odd one out for me but showed he was willing to put the red waka on the line at the nzs for his club. Was half expecting to see Gavin Taniwha line up in his tank to be honest as a wild card

Scrappers been named. Another team with all locally contracted drivers. Good to see the named teams so far using club drivers and not imports as such.

Some tracks have no option other than to bring in outside drivers to make up a team . If those tracks said that they wouldn't front at Palmy because they couldn't field a locally contracted team everyone would still moan .. So darned if you do and darned if you don't .. The more teams the better it will be , imports or not....

However, We all know that now and again teams have opted for outside drivers over local drivers. Just stating that so far its nice to see contracted drivers representing their clubs. Safe to say very high chance this will not be the case for all 12 teams this year though.
