Yes All of them are using normal numbers. Also just so you know Craig Finnikin is the World Champion but in the UK number 1 is optional hence why there was no 1gb this year.

T7-2-1 Numbers 1, 2 & 3 1, 2 and 3 are reserved for the placegetters at the New Zealand Championship of the relevant class. (a) Placegetters at the New Zealand Championship must change their racing number to reflect their finishing position of 1NZ, 2NZ, or 3NZ. Their regular racing number will be placed on hold for them until the next running of the New Zealand Championship.

Sad realy that they "must" change their racing number to reflect their finishing order. Should be if they choose to change their number but can race the rest of the season under their normal race number if they like. It does look good going to a meeting and having the nz numbered champs in the classes racing. Just think it should be drivers option as some people like keeping their original number for person reasons/luck or whatever. In saying that they shouldn't be able to change back and forward between the two.

Some tracks have no option other than to bring in outside drivers to make up a team . If those tracks said that they wouldn't front at Palmy because they couldn't field a locally contracted team everyone would still moan .. So darned if you do and darned if you don't .. The more teams the better it will be , imports or not.... yeah the 2P teams always have a lot of out of towners in them. Beachboy , Sometimes it pays to stop and think before you make comments . lol All of the Palmy teams drivers are registered to Palmerston North .... Take a little look at Baypark , how many of the Busters were actually Tauranga based [ Wooten , Ross , Ashby , Fraser , Elsworth ] Cant see a hell of a difference to be honest , possibly more Palmy drivers actually based in Palmerston North..

The drivers race hard to earn those number so they should use them. I guess there is nothing to stop them having their old number somewhere on the car in some small way.

The drivers had the option of voting against the remit via their delegates at the AGM.
The remit passed.

I would have thought any team driving out the gate with 1NZ and 2NZ in their ranks would have something of a psychological advantage...
