Over the last wee while, Kerry Podjursky has established himself as the best (IMHO) blockman in the country, and the real deal tank commander, and has been my all time favourite driver since I started going to Oceanview at 6 months old.
It's almost an impossibility to spin him (he always seems to keep that tank straight and true), and it's pretty much guaranteed that if you try to go around him, he will turn right and leave you stranded up the wall, or upside down.
The beauty of watching K.P teams race is that unlike a lot of other drivers, he doesnt just try to wind drivers off the end or use speed as a weapon, he is a more tactical blocker, and always has a variety of ways to eliminate you in his arsenal.
Does anybody know the record over the years for most rolls or eliminations in teams racing by a single driver? K.P surely has to be right up thrre.
I'm picking Kerry to strand or roll at least one car a race.
Best of luck to every driver who thinks about going around the outside this weekend, especially the Warriors and Tigers.

K.P is by far one of the greatest blockers around. He knows exactly how and when to turn right. Very tactical blocker and very effective. Can't wait to see what he'll do this weekend. Go the V!!

I've just a few minutes ago returned from a visit to the Podjursky shed, where the man himself is busy with his welder, getting the steelwork just how he likes it. I arranged for my English mate who has travelled out here with his father for the Teams Champs to go and meet the great man, and to see the Jaguar V8 engine up close and personal (they're getting homesick!). As well as being impressed by the engineering work on the car, they couldn't get over how down to earth and laid back Kerry was, considering his fearsome reputation. My only explanation was that KP suffers from Green Light Fever, and that as soon as the green lights go on, he morphs into some form of superhuman one man wrecking machine!
Kerry is certainly right up there with the very best tactical teams racers, and any competitor who underestimates his ability may well end up with an upturned view of proceedings. Just ask Stu Smith Jnr...

Hi all I'm the Englishman that just visited Kerry with my father. Thanks first goes to Inventary for sorting that out. But also it is amazing how calm some drivers (usually the very best) are. It seems that not any normal adrenalin r will do it needs to be the very very highest buzz to really get someone going. We have John Lund. If you ever watch him over the years he has made interviews and to watch him you would think he plays chessy. Yet slip on the helmet glide onto track (usually at the last minutes) and he'll you see a totally different human. Kerry was an absolute gent today very very busy with the car but downed tools spent around an hour chatting answering questions and even admitted during the Smith run he thought for a second he was going so quick he might get away then with a smile he said I kept it turned in and eventually he went lol. Fair play even if it was one of our boys ?. We will certainly keeping an eye on Kerry while cheering for GB this weekend.

As a reminder to the members of the D.L.K.P.A. (don't like Kerry Podjursky association), we will be having our monthly get together on Tuesday, & the topic this month is why we don't like Kerry Podjursky. In fact that is the topic every month. Bring a plate. OK, not everyone who has contributed to this thread will be coming I'm guessing. BL

Both guys are great tank commanders..with very different styles. Correct. Horse is more a brute force Tank Commander, and that has led to him going upside down several times at Teams Champs. KP is a little older and wiser, and times his strikes with surgical precision. He gets the angles right, and more often that not the car he hits is left stranded. The big difference this year is that they're really getting to grips with the Jaguar V8 motor, and he has the power to catch anyone who tries to speed away. That's a dangerous combination!

This explains why he is a legend, and the most feared tank racer.

Well 56v did eliminate someone in his first race. Pity it was his own team mate.

I may have put a slight first night jinx on poor K.P. So to all my fellow Warriors supporters, I humbly apologise.
