Green lights are green. Grass is green. Both looked to be unrecognised to me. That camera angle is not as clear as the view from the turn 3 end of the grandstand looking directly into turn 3. More cameras and various angles would highlight the incident far better and clearer. yip and 3 cameras trained on every car in the race, would have every race finish nill - nill cause everysingle finisher would transgress some rule at some stage and according to most of the refs on here the only punishment is DQ'ing that driver.

Seriously guys lets give the moaning a rest or take a deep breath & think about what u post. Give credit where its due..Panthers did the job beating all the top teams..not only that they did it using only 4 cars & drivers all weekend..along with a big team lineup change 2 weeks out. They did the job with patience & very good team work. They aren't even my team but full respect to them. I just watched that final, what an effort. Absolute skill shown by Podjursky to wall a car with force while missing a wheel. Absolute skill shown by Bengston to withstand that hit and go on to win the race. Those are but two highlights for me from that race. Both teams deserved to win that race but there can only ever be one winner.

was the appeal instigated by the refs or baypark if were the refs they obviously seen an indiscretion which they acted on p.s Rodney wood wasn,t a happy man in his interview after the race.

Agreed, but for the sake of accuracy, it was Dion Mooney driving the Podjursky 56V tank. Interestingly, you're unlikely to hear any complaints of illegalities from within the Warriors team. They gave the race their all, and came up just a little short. Whilst disappointed, the team is delighted to have kept its #2 seeding for 2016.

Well I sat at the southern end of the grandstand and I remember this incident and I'd have to say I wasn't intentional of scott to cut the pole line but he did have two wheels over it. And let's just remember a couple of important facts. The dust is brought when you just touch the pole line and the grass has no traction on it due to the rain the week prior to the event

Perfect summary of what the panthers faced, the circumstances surrounding the team and the way they went about winning. Any other team able to achieve that ? For this Wanganui born lad now living in palmy is was the perfect final if not quite the result I was quietly hoping for but what an awesome meeting

The Warriors did themselves proud, what a great final race from them & to have 2 cars missing front wheels still managing to get shots in including Dion's walling of Peter Bengston was worthy of their finals berth I live in Palmy but it's not my hometown & I honestly didn't care who won because I knew we'd be in for a race where both teams would be giving everything

Ummm I think you need to look up the word appeal and find out what it means there was an appeal on the result is that correct as teams are no longer able to lodge protests is that better No Not really, it was a stupid question. Who do you think declared a result? Do you think the Panthers decleared they were the winner and the Ref appealed that? Ok for the newbies out there, a ref signs off on a result (declares a result). If any team wants to bring any matter up relating to that result they can lodge an appeal. An appeal that overturns a teams race result is as unusal as seeing feathers on a horse. Just to make it clear a ref doesn't mount an appeal against his own decission

At the end of the day had it been another team making a small infringement/s like Mires did there would have been a penalty applied as Stratford and the Tigers have found out over the last few years. Mires jumped the start the commentator clearly spotted this and pointed it out, as for checking up, didn't see him coming to a stop and restarting! His momentum from the jump start eventually let him lend a hand at slowing the lead car down changing the race lead. Also interesting was Mires post race short speech (or back stab), it was clear there are fractions in the Panthers and maybe he has the support of the promotion-bosses-refs on his side hence them not picking on his minor infringements which in my view they got right anyway. I think what gets other supporters frustrated is that other teams have been pinged over the years for minor stuff which has put them out of the running.
