The front page of the Waikaraka Park website states they are running this year's edition of the NZ vs Australia Ministock series this Saturday.
Does anyone have some information about this? Who's in the NZ team, are they running at any other tracks while they are here?

Bay Park pulled the meeting this weekend, hence Wacky stepped in at late notice. Running Wahoroa(sp) on Sunday and Gisborne next Saturday.

and yet they dont race ministocks here in australia so how can they have a challenge. They dont even race anything like them. I talked to a guy a couple of years ago who moved here and built a few ministocks and tried to get them off the ground but health and safety put a big squash on it. Be interesting who they get from auz to race in nz ministocks challenge.

The kids race a "mini" car type race, which our kids use when they travel to Aus every second year. Will be at Gisborne this weekend. They raced Waharoa(sp?) on Sunday.

Ministocks are compared with the Junior Sedans of Australia Stockie57. They are similar in terms of speed, age groups and numbers its just that Ministocks have bumpers etc and sedans are similar to NZ style production saloons! It is a great challenge (no pun intended) with Aussie having Sedans and NZ having ministocks as the cars over the ditch are bumperless and many are FWD, with ministocks having bumpers and RWD so takes some skill to master each others cars which is all part of the trip!
